Why Fat Doesn’t Make You Fat – I Finally Got It

Why doesn’t it make you fat to eat feat? I heard that in carnivore circles, but I didn’t understand it. Why were some people unable to lose weight and were told they should eat more fat?

And looking at myself – why did I still have this fat belly even after I’d been carnivore for a couple of years and had gotten rid of most of my excess fat?

Fat Free Dieting

Ever since I was a child, I remember my mother being on a diet. She would scrape a thin layer of margarine on her bread. And yet, she got overweight and now suffer from type 2 Diabetes. When I first heard about it, I didn’t quite understand. She’d never been one to eat candy, sugar or chocolate. She didn’t even drink juice or soft drinks to my knowledge.

But all that nutrition stuff just went over my head. Some people (mostly marketers) claimed that it losing weight was a question of eating less and moving more. I disagreed, but I couldn’t argue for it. I’d also read that it was bad to eat late. Something about insulin and the time of the day.

Why We Don’t Need to Count Calories

Not long ago, my ex asked me why we didn’t need to count calories. He had heard (from me) that it was useless. Carnivore people just lost weight naturally, eating until they were full. But why? No idea. Something about gremlings, I explained to him.

But today, YouTube showed me a 10-year-old video that instantly grabbed my attention. Butter Bob explains it all so well. If you’re like me and don’t get the “why” behind it all, you should spend 30 minutes watching this video. I found it amazing. And I also found hope. Now I know what to do to get rid of that stubborn belly fat.

Enjoy!
